We are thrilled to share our save the date for the 2024 AARE Conference, which will be held from 1-5 December in Sydney. We’ll publish regular updates as conference plans develop but we hope our members and broader community will begin planning towards this years’ event which is sure to be a fantastic meeting of education research practitioners. We are currently establishing our 2024 Conferences Standing Committee, with a number of new members who joined the Executive Committee following the 2023 Annual General Meeting, along with a new local contingent from Sydney.
We are so thankful for the rich and generous feedback that we receive after each year’s conference which shines a light on how we can continue to evolve and innovate our delivery of the annual conference format. This comes through various channels including our post conference survey, Conference and Executive Committee debrief meetings as well as many discussions and interactions between learned and passionate colleagues across our network. My full report on the 2023 Conference will shortly be submitted to the Executive Committee at our first meeting for the year in Sydney next month and will be shared with the incoming Conferences Standing Committee as a basis for our planning.
As Conferences Standing Committee Chair, I welcome any further ideas or considerations that our members have to ensure that the conference provides a stimulating and rewarding meeting platform. Whether you have feedback about the theme, academic or social program, venue, speakers, catering, exhibition or technology, I welcome it all.
