Increasingly, researchers at all academic levels are being asked to review journal articles and ARC grant applications. This is occurring even if you have never published in a journal, or never held an ARC grant.

It is important that as a field, education researchers understand the similarities and differences between these types of assessments.

This session will provide this information. Hosted by AARE Research Development Coordinator, Associate Professor Joel Windle, you will hear from Professor Nicole Mockler, previous Editor of the AARE journal, Australian Educational Researcher, and Professor Julie McLeod, current AARE President and previous member of the ARC College of Experts. The session will cover:
  • Reviewing journal articles
  • Assessing ARC grants, and what members of the College of Experts look for in these assessments
  • A discussion of the similarities and differences

For more information, please email: Associate Professor Joel Windle, AARE Research Development Coordinator Joel.Windle@unisa.edu.au
