Children and student voice across all sectors SIG bursary 2021

Purpose

The Children and student voice across all sectors SIG is keen to encourage emerging researchers, based nationally, with an interest in this field to attend the 2021 AARE virtual conference (Nov 28-Dec 2) and the Children and student voice SIG online symposium (13-15 December).

This bursary will aid an awardee to: 1) expand their knowledge in this field; 2) provide networking opportunities with other professionals with an interest in this area; and 3) contribute significantly to future activities for the ‘Children and student voice across all sectors’ SIG. 

Applications due: Monday 8 November

Bursary amount: $210

Number of bursaries available: 2

Applicant

Honours, Masters, PhD or postgraduate degree students (within 2 years of completion)

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for an award:

  • Currently enrolled (part-time or full-time) in a Honours, Masters, Postgraduate degree or must be presenting from their thesis research completed in the current or preceding year
  • Be a member of AARE when the award is disbursed.

Merit criteria

The children and student voice across all sectors panel will base the award on the awardee's contribution to the aims of this SIG at the 2021 AARE conference.

How to apply

To be considered for this bursary, applications should use this application form:  

 The application process has two parts

1) A statement by the applicant (up to 300 words) explaining how the bursary will

  • benefit the applicant
  • benefit the SIG group

2) A document from your University indicating your current enrolment status or proof of degree completion within 2 years.

 Selection process

Applications will be assessed by a panel of people invited by the SIG convenors which is convened each year. The panel’s decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
