Abstract:
There is increasing involvement of parents not only in the decision making processes related to school management and curriculum but also in the teaching/learning process.
In this paper the authors will explore the implications of such participation for curriculum evaluation in the light of several recent evaluations of programs operating in Victoria.
The questions to be discussed include:
- Do parents participating in the teaching/learning process share the teacher's objectives for the activities?
- Do parents and teachers have different expectations of curriculum evaluations?
