Tests of moral values and judgements currently available are mostly theory-driven and complex in scoring. They do not seem to meet the needs of classroom teachers and curriculum evaluators. A 24-item 3-option multiple-choice Test of Moral Values has been designed with reference to a set of moral values suggested for Singapore schools. Analysis showed most of the items to be effective in discriminating students with known academic and behavioural characteristics.
