Abstract:
Tnis paper reports findings from a study designed to investigate learner approaches to visual information. Tasks incorporating the use of visual material often involve the learner in analysis and interpretation of the elements within the presentation. This study focused on the consistencies and inconsistencies in identification strategies used by learners in analysing basic visual elements. The findings are discussed in relation to individual differences in the cognitive style dimension of Field Dependence.
