A survey of 450 teacher education ex-students from Armidale C.A.E. has been undertaken to look at their employment profile, perceptions of their program and how the College can further help them. The study was to investigiate how many were likely to teach in N.S.W. Government Schools and those teaching interstate with the Catholic Education Office and Private Schools. Over the last five years only a third have obtained permanent or casual teaching in the N.S.W. Education Department.

The overall comments have been fed into the pre-service program and has shown a variety of shortcomings in our present program which are now being addressed. The professional technical outlook of the graduates is also examined.
