Abstract:
This study attempts to investigate the relative influences of school-ethos and father's occupational self-direction on Chinese adolescents' attitude towards Time-Management in Singapore.
The results indicated that father's occupational selfdirection had indirect effect on Time-Management. Its indirect influence was effected through parental training in planning, achievement and punctuality. The indirect effect of school ethos was weak compared to its direct effect. Principal sources of the indirect effect were school training in punctuality and decision-making.
The school was found to provide a stronger source of influence than home on Time-Management.
