Linking it all Together: Achieving Balance and Coherence in the Social Curriculum

This paper will describe the PEP-funded project, Ministerial Paper No. 6 and Schools, commissioned through the Curriculum Branch of the Ministry of Education. The project involved a combination of investigative and developmental work in cooperation with four selected schools. It aimed to identify fruitful avenues by which schools of all kinds can pursue the elusive goals of balance and coherence in the curriculum and to develop a resource kit which schools can use to this end. The presentation will both analyse the process followed and provide examples of the materials produced.
