Abstract:
The Manpower Services Commission in Britain has set up the Open Tech Program to make access to aspects of adult re-training and updating much easier for employed adults at the technician and management level. The Open Tech Program is characterized by its consistent and innovative open-learning techniques (Inter- active Video) and by its large scale is creating pressures for change on the whole system.
Currently N.S.W. TAFE is undergoing re-structuring and it would benefit from the U.K.'s research in the areas of Trade, Post-Trade and adult continuing education. In order to maintain its quality provision it must incorporate the new available technology and offer flexible modes of delivery.
