Abstract:
The paper examines the evidence arising from interviews and observations regarding girls' experiences with computers in a co- educational High School in Metropolitan Sydney. As well as discussing attitudes and expectations the focus is directed towards the apparent sexist stance adopted by boys towards the girls and their use of the computers. As a case study the paper seeks to portray and explain experience in terms of the per- spectives of the participants. A number of strategies for change are proposed.
