Abstract:
This study considers some concepts associated with sex bias in the selection of children of superior intellectual ability for a program of special education. A Rasch logistic model is used to illustrate the kind of detailed analysis that can be conducted to help understand the sources of variation And bias in A test. Two kinds of internal bias were evident - bias associated with different ability groups and bias associated with sex groups.
