Abstract:
An enduring focus of attention in literature dealing with school organization is the presumed linkages through which the activi- ties of individuals and sub-units are coordinated. Different forms of coordination appear to be present in secondary and elementary schools. This paper reports on a conceptualization of linkages in secondary schools, the development of some questionnaire based methods for finding out about those linkages, and the patterns of coordination observed in a few selected schools.
