The new education system in Ghana recommends the use of inquiry method of teaching and learning. This method, it is anticipated, will give students greater participation in the planning, teaching and learning processes. It will also help them develop problem-solving skills that will enhance their learning outcomes. This paper reports on the preliminary results obtained in a study on teachers who teach the new curriculum in secondary schools in Ghana. It reports on their practice of inquiry teaching.
