A semi-narrative exploration of the way the perceptions of two fiction writing students at the tertiary level have been influenced by the works of Beverley Farmer and Ernest Hemingway. Feminist perspectives and ideas on the construction of subjectivity serve as a background to the systemic-functional discussion of their texts.
