Abstract:
This continuing study has checked the attitudes, selected English skills and grades of first year infants/primary Teacher Education students at the University of New England. The trend has continued which indicates many students are not confident of their writing ability. Testing indicates they need support and help beyond their formal courses. Attitudes towards and use of computers does indicate one approach for many students that may help them develop a more professional approach to the various skills required at the tertiary level and provide more confidence in their classroom teaching.
