Abstract:
Through the provision of an enriched curriculum, the Gifted Education Program (GEP) in Singapore seeks to meet the needs of pupils who are intellectually gifted. Pupils are selected at the end of Primary 3 based on their language, numeric, and general abilities. Having been involved with these pupils for over six months, we have identified good time management skills, as one of the several characteristics that these pupils possess. We would like to highlight some of the students work and speculate on some of the characteristics. Also, we would like to share our impressions of the orientation and preparation of new Gifted Education teachers in Singapore.
