This paper describes how the national consortium was conceptualised, which included researchers, practitioners, and advisors to facilitate and support engagement with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.  The communication and engagement strategies developed to ensure wide buy in from all stakeholders will be outlined. This will include discussion on our approach to COVID-19 proofing the project, but still ensuring the wide dissemination of user-friendly information and engaging all stakeholders in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) sectors (including service providers, educators, families, children and young people) to ensure the updates to the two Australian Learning Frameworks reflected their voices.  Finally, this paper will report on the results of the national stage 1 survey, which informed stage of the project.
