Can a researcher look through a postmodernist lens and a feminist lens simultaneously? And what do they see? This paper explores both postmodernist perspectives on organisations and the way in which some feminists have used postmodernist perspectives to explore gender issues. Issues and concerns are examined here at the theoretical level.

At the practical level, a case study of an investigation into training in organisations from a gender perspective is presented. The current discourse of the Training Reform Agenda is analysed and methodological issues of attempting to undertake feminist postmodernist research in organisations is explored.
