Abstract:
This paper will contribute to critical discussion and research in raising intercultural competences in teacher education, with the case studies focused on practice in Australia and Finland. It is part of a comparative research project focusing on the development of intercultural competences through second and foreign language education.
For the Australian case, pre-service teachers and teacher educators participated from a university in Sydney, and in-service teachers from a metropolitan school in Sydney provided interviews and narratives.
