Abstract:
Student engagement has been linked with both academic success and positive psychological outcomes. It has been identified as a goal at the international and school level. Despite the illusion of consensus and the ubiquitousness of the term, recent evidence suggests not all teachers conceive of engagement in the same way and only some make explicit links between engagement and learning.
