ACDE Student/ECR Poster Award
Inaugurated in 2010, the Australian Council of Deans of Education (ACDE) sponsored Postgraduate / ECR Researcher Poster Award is intended to support the participation and inclusion of postgraduate and early career researchers in the educational research community.
The ACDE Postgraduate / ECR Researcher Poster Award is given for the best Poster presented at the AARE Annual Conference, judged by the four merit criteria below. The Award takes the form of a $500 cash prize and a Certificate of Excellence.

A panel of experienced researchers judges the Award, based on:
(i) the content of the poster,
(ii) the clarity and interest of the presentation,
(iii) the presentation of theoretical and methodological bases and findings of the research, and,
(iv) the presentation of quality discussion points or conclusions drawn from the findings.
Eligible applicants who wish to be considered for the award should indicate this by sending evidence of their eligibility to awards email address after submitting their proposal via the online submission system.
To be eligible for the ACDE Postgraduate / ECR Researcher Poster Award, applicants must :
- Be either enrolled in a postgraduate research program in a relevant area of study at and Australian higher education institution, or have been awarded a doctoral degree within the past 5 years.
- Submit a first-authored conference poster proposal, via the online submission system and by the closing date for abstracts of posters, and have their proposal accepted for presentation.
- Be able to attend the full conference.
- Deliver the poster as scheduled.
- Have not previously received the ACDE/AARE Postgraduate/ECR Poster Award.
The winner of the ACDE Postgraduate / ECR Researcher Poster Award will be announced at the Annual Conference.
