Conference Session FormatsSymposia and PanelsSymposia and Panels may be 1 hour (for a maximum of 3 papers) or 2 hours (for 4 or more papers). Symposium/panel proposals must nominate a discussant and chairperson. Prior acceptance of all parties must be arranged by the symposium/panel organiser. It is the responsibility of the symposium/panel organiser, in consultation with the other presenters, to organise the session to allow time for robust discussion and debate. The title of the symposium or panel, plus the name(s) and affiliation(s) of participants in the session, including the chair and discussant, and an overview of 400 words (max) should be submitted together with the abstracts of 400 words (max) title of all papers to be included in the session. Presenters of each paper are strongly encouraged to have a written paper of 4000-6000 words for distribution at the symposium or panel presentation. The symposium must be linked to the SIG or single Key Word which the symposium/panel organiser, in collaboration with the other presenters, feels most closely represents the topic covered in the symposium or panel. Individual PapersAll individual papers proposed outside of symposia will be programmed with like papers according to theme. Each presenter will be provided with a 30-minute time slot in either 90 minute or 2 hour sessions. Presenters are encouraged to allow time for rigorous discussion and crossfertilisation as they prepare their presentations. The program committee will appoint a chair for these sessions from the presenters, prior to the conference, and this person will have the responsibility of coordinating the presenters and leading discussion as well as ensuring that the session keeps to time. Individual papers may be submitted as abstracts or as full papers for refereeing. Individual Paper AbstractsAn abstract of 1000 words should be submitted. The paper must be linked to the SIG or single Key Word which the author(s) feels most closely represents the topic covered in the paper. Individual Papers for Full Paper RefereeingThe process of full paper refereeing is made available to all presenters (Symposium and Panel participants as well as Individual Paper presenters), but those proposing an individual paper are strongly encouraged to submit a full paper for refereeing. Papers should be 4000- 6000 words and should be written in scholarly, academic format as appropriate to the content of the paper. Papers must include the title, and have no other identification of authors throughout the rest of the paper. The paper title should be included in a header on each page. Pages should be numbered. Papers should include an abridged abstract of approximately 300 words as part of the submission. A separate abstract does not need to be sent. APA Publication Manual fifth edition for referencing should be used. http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html Papers which are submitted for full refereeing and also proposed as part of a symposium or panel must clearly indicate the title of the symposium or panel in which they are to be included. An administration fee of $60.50 for each paper to be refereed should be included in payment for registration. Papers will not be refereed until this payment has been made.
