AARE Awards
AARE offers several awards. The details are below:
- Honorary Life Membership Award
- AARE may award an honorary life membership to a suitable candidate.
- Early Career Researcher Award
- AARE established this award to encourage early career researchers to present at the annual conference and to become actively involved in the Association.
- Award For Doctoral Research In Education
- AARE makes an annual award known as the AARE Award for Doctoral Research in Education. The award comprises a citation from the Association together with a return airfare to fly the awardee to the Conference.
- Postgraduate Student Travel Award
- AARE Student Travel Awards are available to provide support for postgraduate students to attend and participate in the annual conference of the Association. Several awards may be made each year.
- The Radford Lecture
- Since 1978 one of the plenary lectures given at each AARE annual conference has been designated the Radford Lecture, as a memorial to the late, distinguished educationist Dr William (Bill) Radford.
Awards for Indigenous Australian Researchers:
- Betty Watts Indigenous Researcher Award
- AARE makes this award to encourage and support educational research by Indigenous Australian researchers.
- Indigenous Postgraduate Student Travel Award
- In order to support the participation and inclusion of Indigenous Australians in the educational research community, a new award was made available from 2007.
Special Interest Group [SIG] Award:
- ML-SIG Award for Student Presentations
- Students from all geographic regions are eligible to apply for these awards.
